I discovered yoga in India as a teenager and have practiced regularly ever since.
My yoga practice has evolved as I have moved through life and this shapes my teaching with encourages my students to listen in to their own bodies and where they are in their life cycles.
I am deeply fascinated by how the cycles and rhythms of nature mirror those within our selves, on both a micro and macro level and use this awareness with my training in yoga, Qi Gong, Contemporary Dance and Chinese Medicine (Five Element Theory) to create classes that invite intuitive flowing movements to unravel, energise, strengthen and ground the body through movement, breath and relaxation practices.
I started my teaching journey in 2014, initially specialising in pregnancy & postnatal yoga after experiencing the benefits of pregnancy yoga with each of my own pregnancies. I loved working with pregnant women and soon decided to train as a doula so that I could support women through birth. When working with pregnant women (and their partners) I aim to guide them to a place where they are prepared and empowered for the incredible experience of childbirth.
I work in and around the Hastings area teaching weekly classes in Seasonal Yoga (everyone welcome), Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga and a monthly Women's Yoga class. I also run retreats at a beautiful location in Catalunya, Spain.
When I'm not teaching yoga or supporting women perinatally, I love the sun and the sea, music and dancing, making and growing. I love walking in nature and talking with friends. I love exploring new places and re-visiting old favourites.
I live and teach on the beautiful West Hill of Hastings, perched above the Old Town and the beautiful sea.
