Preparing for Birth Classes
The aim of my birth classes is to empower women and their birth partners with knowledge, confidence and trust in innate natural instincts, so that these skills can be taken forwards to a positive and exhilarating birth experience, however it may unfold.
My course sits somewhere between conventional factual birth classes and more holistic hypno-birthing type classes. I like to focus on the positive whilst preparing you for the ‘what ifs’ and explore how our view of birth has been shaped by the society that we live in and how you can prepare emotionally, physically and mentally for your birth, replacing fear with faith.
I hope to leave you with a sense of awe about the incredible natural science of the birth process and send you into this very special chapter of your life feeling excited, prepared and empowered.
The course takes place in a relaxed and comfortable setting and in small groups (3-6 couples) and the sessions are light-hearted and practical.

- Positions and breathing techniques for Labour
- Practical Preparations for the Birth
- Writing Birth Wishes
- Postnatal Care
- Basic Breastfeeding Positions
Standard Course Package includes:
- 7 hours ante-natal teaching
- Course handout to take home
- Drinks and nibbles provided
- A postnatal meet up 2-3 weeks after the last baby in the group has been born.
£185 per couple.
(*The birth partner does not need to be a marital or romantic partner – this can be a friend or relative.)
